Our Calling as Methodists
All followers of Christ we are called to share in God’s mission, in the power of the Holy Spirit and in company with other Christians. The Methodist Church continues to discern how to live out its calling in a changed and changing world. The calling of the Methodist Church is to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission.
It does through:
Worship, existing to increase awareness of God’s presence and to celebrate God’s love.
Learning and Caring, existing to help people to grow and learn as Christians, through mutual support and care.
Service, existing to be a good neighbour to people in need and to challenge injustice.
Evangelism, existing to make more followers of Jesus Christ.
