Chyngton Methodist Church was built in 1953 and opened in 1955 by Dr W.E.Sangster. In 1988 part of the site was sold for houses, and the money raised used to erect new Church adjacent to original building which is now used as a hall.
Further building work on premises was carried out in 2005 - 2006 to comply with the disability act 1995.
